The hoop is narrow and unset, so nothing competes with the stone. There are no diamonds here; the only ornament is a pierced openwork gallery under the bezel, which you see from the side. The money in this pair is in the peridot and the metal rather than in accent stones, which is why it carries the price it does. A gift that means something. A milestone August birthday, an anniversary, or a serious coloured-stone pair for someone who already has the diamonds.
