French pavé cuts tiny V-shaped notches under each accent diamond so almost no metal shows from above, and the shoulders seem to be paved in pure light. Beneath that shimmer sits a 1.4 carat lab-grown cushion, D color and VVS clarity. It is the jeweler's-detail version of a pavé band, a little more work and a lot more brilliance along the sides.
