Splitting the shank and leaving air under the pearl gives an 8.0 to 8.5mm cultured freshwater pearl somewhere to breathe, and a single natural diamond sits at the front, right where the two rails divide. Architecture rather than ornament.

On pearl colour. Cultured pearls carry a natural overtone and no two are identical, so the pearl on the piece you receive may read a touch warmer or cooler than the photograph of another metal on this page. That variation is the gem, not a fault.
