A half-bezel cups the ruby on two sides, a smooth rim of metal that guards the stone's edges, and a diamond halo completes the frame in between. The bezel look also suits an active life, nothing to snag. At the heart is a lab-grown ruby, vivid saturated red, corundum through and through and hard as its mined kin at nine on Mohs, calibrated and always in stock. Natural diamonds, G to H, SI, form the halo. A mined ruby version is offered separately. Made to order in three to four weeks.
