Tiny beaded milgrain runs along the edges of the band, a detail lifted straight from early-twentieth-century rings. It gives a small pink sapphire an heirloom air without weighing the design down. The stone is a soft rose, and because it is corundum it rates a 9 for hardness and wears beautifully over years.
