A AAA grade Australian white opal ringed by thirty six natural diamonds, set in a bezel rather than prongs. The halo is the classic way to make a cabochon read as fine jewellery, and the bezel is the reason to choose this one: a rubbed over rim protects the girdle of a soft stone in a way claw prongs never will. AAA is the top opal grade Stuller publishes for this size.

The accent diamonds are natural, G-H colour, 1/6 ct tw total weight for the pair; our supplier does not publish a clarity grade and we do not state one. Opal is a softer, water-sensitive gem at 5.5 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale. Clean with a soft dry cloth, and never use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner.
