Diamond Crescent Moon Australian White Opal Earrings, 1/8 ct tw

A crescent traced in natural diamond with Australian white opal cabochons set along its inner curve, 18.94 mm from tip to tip - ten opals and sixteen diamonds across the matched pair. It is the largest silhouette in this collection and the only celestial one, and at that scale the opals read as a run of colour rather than a single point of it.

The diamonds are 1/8 ct tw for the pair, four-prong set along the outer arc. Made in solid 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum, and sold as a matched pair.

The opals are genuine natural Australian white opal cabochons, A quality; Stuller does not publish a millimetre size for them and we do not state one. Stuller records the AGTA enhancement code for this opal as Natural, so no treatment is disclosed for the stone. The accent diamonds are natural, G-H colour, 1/8 ct tw total for the pair per Stuller's published Diamond CTW; our supplier does not publish a clarity grade and we do not state one. Opal is a softer, water-sensitive gem at 5.5 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale. Clean with a soft dry cloth, and never use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner.
