The opal is genuine natural Ethiopian (Welo) opal, 2 mm. Stuller records the AGTA enhancement code for this opal as Natural, so no treatment is disclosed for the stone. Diamond and gemstone carat weights and millimetre sizes are approximate and may vary slightly from the stated figure.

Ethiopian opal is hydrophane, which means it absorbs liquid and can temporarily lose colour or turn translucent. Do not immerse it, remove it before washing or swimming, and never use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner.
