Vintage Pink Sapphire & Ethiopian Opal Drop Earrings

A 25 mm articulated drop, the longest and most decorative piece in the collection. A 7x5 mm Ethiopian opal is bezel set at the base of a vintage inspired frame studded with fourteen natural pink sapphires. The drop moves when you do, and the harder sapphires take the outer knocks so the softer opal sits protected at the centre.

Made in solid 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum, and sold as a matched pair.

The opal is genuine natural Ethiopian (Welo) opal, 7x5 mm. Stuller records the AGTA enhancement code for this opal as Natural, so no treatment is disclosed for the stone. Diamond and gemstone carat weights and millimetre sizes are approximate and may vary slightly from the stated figure.

Ethiopian opal is hydrophane, which means it absorbs liquid and can temporarily lose colour or turn translucent. Do not immerse it, remove it before washing or swimming, and never use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner.
