A half-bezel bypass sweeps past the centre, a modern, protective seat for the moissanite. It is set with a genuine colourless moissanite, a lab-created gem in its own right: near-colourless D-E-F, with fire beyond a diamond's and a Mohs hardness of about 9.25, sized by diamond-equivalent weight and finished with natural G to H, SI diamond accents. Is the centre stone a diamond?
No — it is a genuine moissanite, a lab-created silicon-carbide gemstone in its own right. It is near-colourless (D-E-F) and returns even more fire than a diamond, at a fraction of the price. We never sell moissanite as diamond.
How hard is moissanite? About 9.25 on the Mohs scale — harder than every coloured gemstone and second only to diamond (10), so it wears beautifully every day.
How is my ring made? Every ring is made to order in your selected shape, metal and centre-stone size, then bench-set and finished. It ships in about 3 to 4 weeks.
What about the diamond accents? Accent diamonds are natural, G to H colour, SI clarity.
What does the carat mean? Moissanite is measured in diamond-equivalent weight (DEW): a “1 ct” centre is the millimetre size of a 1 ct diamond. Centres are calibrated to size, so the look is consistent from ring to ring.
