The centre stone is a laboratory-grown emerald: essentially the same chemical, physical and optical properties as mined emerald, but created in a laboratory rather than by nature. Laboratory-grown emerald is also commonly clarity-enhanced with colourless oil or resin. Clean only with mild soap and lukewarm water — never ultrasonic or steam.

Natural white sapphire pavé surround — mined sapphire, not laboratory-grown and not diamond. The sapphires may have been heat-treated, a permanent and industry-standard enhancement. The centre stone is a laboratory-grown emerald.
