This is laboratory-grown (created) opal, disclosed as lab-grown, with the same look and composition as natural opal. Opal is the October birthstone, a 5.5 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale. Care for it with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners, heat, and harsh chemicals. Each opal is unique, so its play-of-color varies from the photograph. The accent diamonds are natural, non-serialized stones held to a representative near-colorless, SI clarity range; total carat weight is nominal and may vary slightly.
