Details
Tapered baguettes narrow away from the center, echoing its points. Squared V-caps sit over both tips of the marquise. On either side, a tapered baguette lab-grown diamond is held at its ends by flat metal bars rather than claws. Because each baguette narrows as it moves away from the center, the outline of the ring keeps flowing toward the points instead of stopping short. The shank is plain and slim. The mix of step-cut flash and brilliant sparkle suits someone who likes clean, architectural lines.
Choose a marquise center from 0.70 to 1.60 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.00 ct size, for example, runs 0.83 to 1.05 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. If you would rather pick an individually graded loose diamond, natural or lab-grown, build it in Design Your Ring.
Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Your ring is made to order in your size (US 3 to 10; see the sizing guide) and typically ships in about 5 to 10 business days by complimentary, insured UPS Express. More marquise settings are in our Marquise Engagement Rings collection.

Answers, before you ask
Your Questions
How are the tips and side stones secured?
The marquise sits under squared V-caps at both points, so its thinnest edges are covered by metal. The two tapered baguettes are held at each end by a flat metal bar that spans the stone, which keeps their long sides open to the light and gives the setting a tidy, linear look. There are no tall claws on the side stones to catch on sleeves.
Why pair tapered baguettes with a marquise?
A marquise is all about length and direction. Tapered baguettes repeat that idea: they are wider where they meet the center and narrower at the outer end, so the eye travels from the side stones into the marquise and out to its points. Their step-cut facets show broad flashes of light, a clear contrast to the livelier sparkle of the center stone.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every marquise center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. If you want a specific graded stone, Design Your Ring lets you choose one individually.
Can I have a natural diamond instead?
This ring is offered with lab-grown centers. For a natural diamond, use Design Your Ring to choose a natural loose diamond with its own grading report and set it in one of our settings, or email concierge@diamondandsapphire.com and we will help.
How long does it take to make?
Each ring is made to order in your finger size. Most ship in about 5 to 10 business days, insured and signature-required. The product page shows the current timing before you check out.
