A 14 x 14 mm shield face, squared across the top with a shallow central notch and drawing to a soft point at the base, brushed to a matte finish and left blank for engraving. Closed back.

At 2.24 mm the face is low enough to wear under a glove, and the crest shape reads as a signet from across a room in a way a plain square does not.
