Oval Medal Gold Cross Necklace

A satin cross sits in relief on a polished oval ground, and a milgrain border of tiny beads runs unbroken around the rim. The medal format is old currency in devotional jewellery and almost absent from modern catalogues, which is exactly why we wanted it here. Measures 20.9 by 13.61 mm. The satin and polish contrast is strong enough that the piece gains presence at small sizes.
