A 5 mm rose cut collared in a full bezel, the largest flat-cut stone in this collection and, structurally, the most sensibly mounted one.
A flat-backed stone has no cone to seat into, so its girdle carries the entire retention load. A 360-degree bezel removes every point load from that edge, which is why we set the big rose cuts this way and leave the prongs to the smaller ones. It also gives the piece a clean, uninterrupted outline.
