Eight larger Australian white opal cabochons on a chunkier 14.7 mm hinged hoop. This is not simply the 20 mm hoop shrunk. It carries fewer, bigger stones on a thicker 3 mm wall, so each cabochon has room to flash rather than reading as a continuous line of colour. The smaller diameter also sits closer to the lobe, which suits a everyday hoop.

The opal is genuine natural Australian white opal, 3 mm round cabochons, 8 per pair. Stuller records the AGTA enhancement code for this opal as Natural, so no treatment is disclosed for the stone. Opal is a softer, water-sensitive gem at 5.5 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale. Clean with a soft dry cloth, and never use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner.
