Here the diamonds hang free. Each marquise is drilled at the tip and threaded onto a fine gold link, so the four stones per ear swing and turn with every step, flashing their sides rather than sitting still behind prongs.

The drop runs about 37mm on a slim stick post, long enough to show with hair down and quiet enough for the office. It suits the friend who already owns studs and wants the next thing.

All diamonds are lab-grown marquise cuts, graded VS2 clarity and E-F color, from about 4.4 x 2.3mm to 6.8 x 3.5mm. Total weight is a nominal 1 1/2 ctw.
