Two ribbons of polished gold cross over one another and let a single pearl fall just below, a small, sculptural gesture that reads clean rather than fussy.

The bail measures 9.2 by 6.2 mm in solid 14K yellow gold and holds a round, AA-quality cultured freshwater pearl of 6 to 6.5 mm, white with a bright, even luster. The 1 mm cable chain adjusts from 16 to 18 inches and closes with a spring ring.

At this size the pearl is clearly visible across a room yet light enough to forget you are wearing it.

Pearl care: pearls rate only 2.5 to 3 on the Mohs scale, so put this on last, after perfume, hair spray and lotion, and take it off first. Wipe the pearls with a soft, damp cloth after wearing and store the piece on its own, never in a plastic bag. Never use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner.
