A teardrop of open filigree, edged in fine milgrain, cradles a single freshwater pearl at its heart, the way a piece from a grandmother's jewelry box might.
The pendant measures 30.5 by 14.4 mm and is cast in solid 14K yellow gold. The pearl is a round, AA-quality cultured freshwater pearl of 4.5 to 5 mm, white with a soft glow. It hangs from a 1 mm cable chain that adjusts from 16 to 18 inches and closes with a spring ring.
Long enough to sit below a collar and light enough to wear daily, it suits a high neckline as well as an open one.
Pearl care: pearls rate only 2.5 to 3 on the Mohs scale, so put this on last, after perfume, hair spray and lotion, and take it off first. Wipe the pearls with a soft, damp cloth after wearing and store the piece on its own, never in a plastic bag. Never use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner.
