Details
The band splits as it reaches the center, opening a little window of light under the oval. Each half of the split shank is lined with lab-grown diamonds that sweep up to the head, and four prongs hold the center between them. The open space keeps the look airy instead of heavy. At the 1.10 ct size the head stands about 5.8 mm, and the band is about 2.1 mm wide where it joins.
Choose an oval center from 0.75 to 2.50 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.00 to 1.20 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Every order ships free and fully insured by UPS Ground; orders of $500 or more ship by complimentary UPS Express, signature required on delivery (a $50 upgrade below that). Ready-to-ship pieces leave us in 2–3 business days; made-to-order pieces in 5–10.
Rings are final sale. Every ring is made or sized to your ring size, and engagement rings are set with the centre you choose, so a ring can’t be returned or exchanged for a refund or another size. Please confirm your size before you order; our concierge is glad to help. If a ring arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, tell us within 7 days and we’ll make it right, and every piece carries our free lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

Why choose a split shank?
Splitting the band near the center widens the shoulders, which frames a larger stone and makes the ring look substantial without extra weight.
Will a straight wedding band fit?
A straight band sits against the split shoulders with a small gap near the center. Many people like that look; a contoured band can close the gap if you prefer.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every oval center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. If you want a specific graded stone, Design Your Ring lets you choose one individually.
Can I have a natural diamond instead?
This ring is offered with lab-grown centers. For a natural diamond, use Design Your Ring to choose a natural loose diamond with its own grading report and set it in one of our settings, or email concierge@diamondandsapphire.com and we will help.
How long does it take to make?
