A polished sideways cross with a single seed pearl at its center, worn close to the collarbone as a quiet sign of faith.
The cross measures 13.49 by 7.67 mm in solid 14K yellow gold and is set with a 2 mm cultured seed pearl. It is fixed to a 1 mm cable chain at both ends, adjustable from 16 to 18 inches, with a lobster clasp.
Simple enough for daily wear and meaningful enough for a baptism, confirmation or first communion gift.
Pearl care: pearls rate only 2.5 to 3 on the Mohs scale, so put this on last, after perfume, hair spray and lotion, and take it off first. Wipe the pearls with a soft, damp cloth after wearing and store the piece on its own, never in a plastic bag. Never use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner.
