Turquoise Rings FAQ
Is the turquoise in these rings natural?
Every piece is set with natural turquoise that has been stabilized, which means a clear resin is worked into the stone to strengthen it and hold its color. Stabilization is the standard treatment for turquoise used in fine jewelry, and we name it on every product page. These are not reconstituted turquoise, which is ground stone bonded into a block, and not a dyed look-alike such as howlite.
What ring sizes can I order?
US 6 to 8, in quarter sizes. Each ring is made to order in the size you choose, so turquoise rings are final sale. If you are between sizes, our sizing guide explains how to measure, or our concierge can help before you order.
Can I wear a turquoise ring every day?
Yes, with a little care. Turquoise is softer than sapphire or diamond and slightly porous, so take your ring off for the gym, gardening, cleaning and swimming, and put it on after lotion and perfume. Bezel and halo settings give the stone the most protection.
How do I clean a turquoise ring?
Wipe it with a soft, damp cloth and dry it. Never use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner, and keep it away from heat, perfume, lotion and household chemicals, which can dull or discolor turquoise over time.
Is turquoise a December birthstone?
Yes. Turquoise is a traditional December birthstone, alongside tanzanite and blue zircon, and it is the gem for an 11th wedding anniversary, which makes it an easy gift with a reason behind it.
