Details
A halo of white diamonds traces the pear green sapphire and makes it look larger and brighter. Small lab-grown diamonds follow the outline of the center and continue down a slender band about 1.7 mm wide. The halo brings the top to about 15.2 mm long at the 9 x 6 mm size (about 1.68 ct).
Choose a pear center from 7 x 5 mm to 10 x 7 mm, about 0.86 to 2.54 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown green sapphire, eye-clean, in a cool sea-green tone. Lab-grown sapphire is real corundum, the same mineral as mined sapphire, and rates 9 on the Mohs scale, so it wears beautifully every day. Carat weights are the typical weight for each calibrated size, so an individual stone can vary slightly.
Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Your ring is made to order in your size (US 4 to 9; see the sizing guide). Because every ring is set and sized for you, rings are final sale. More green sapphire designs are in our Green Sapphire Engagement Rings collection.

Answers, before you ask
Your Questions
How much bigger does a halo make the stone look?
The frame of diamonds adds a few millimeters around the center, so a halo reads noticeably larger on the hand than a solitaire of the same carat weight.
How is green sapphire different from emerald?
Green sapphire is corundum, the same mineral as blue sapphire and ruby, and rates 9 on the Mohs scale. Emerald is beryl, softer at 7.5 to 8 and usually included. Green sapphire has a cooler, sea-green tone and handles daily wear far better, which is why many people choose it for an engagement ring.
Is a lab-grown green sapphire a real sapphire?
Yes. It is corundum grown in a laboratory, with the same chemistry, hardness and optical properties as a mined sapphire. It is not glass or a simulant, and every product title says lab-grown.
Will the color look like the photo?
The photos show the stone's typical sea-green tone. Green sapphire can look slightly bluer in daylight and a little warmer under indoor light, and the color reads more intense in larger sizes.
Can I have a natural green sapphire instead?
Natural green sapphires in center sizes are rare and priced individually. Email concierge@diamondandsapphire.com and we will source and quote one for you.
Can I return it?
Rings are set and sized to order, so all rings are final sale. Check the sizing guide or ask our concierge before ordering if you are unsure of the size.
