Pear Natural Diamond Solitaire Necklace

Item no. DS-1BEJ-A35
$1,439.00
Orders of $1,000 or more include our gift: lab-grown diamond studs. Details
A pear has one rounded end and one point, so it reads as a teardrop rather than a dot, and that small shift in outline makes a simple necklace feel more personal. Here a mined pear sits in a half bezel below a slender gold drop, free to move a little and catch light as she turns. It is fine enough for every day and has enough shape to hold its own at a wedding.

Chain included. It arrives ready to wear on a solid 14K gold 1 mm cable chain, adjustable from 16 to 18 inches, with a lobster clasp. The chain is the same gold as the pendant you choose.

Give it for a tenth anniversary, a fortieth birthday or the year she finally takes the big job. The chain adjusts from 16 to 18 inches, so you do not need to know how she wears her necklaces to get the length right.

The center is a natural pear diamond, 1/5 to 1/2 carat, graded SI2–SI3 clarity and G–I color. Plainly put, inclusions may be visible to the naked eye at this clarity, and they are easier to find in the 1/2 ct than in the 1/5. G–I is the near-colorless range, so the diamond reads white rather than tinted. Choosing this grade is a deliberate trade: a mined stone with real shape and length, at a price a higher clarity would not allow.

Approximate diamond size by weight: 1/5 ct about 5x3 mm; 1/3 ct about 6x4 mm; 1/2 ct about 7x5 mm.

The total covers the diamond, the gold drop and the adjustable chain together. Choose her gold, then the carat weight. Unworn pieces in original condition may be returned within 30 days.

Answers, before you ask

Your Questions

Is the chain included?

Yes. Every size comes complete on a solid 14K gold 1 mm cable chain, adjustable from 16 to 18 inches, with a lobster clasp, in the same gold as the pendant.

How big does each carat weight look?

Approximate pendant sizes: 1/5 ct, diamond about 5x3 mm, pendant about 12.6 by 4.1 mm; 1/3 ct, diamond about 6x4 mm, pendant about 13.6 by 5.2 mm; 1/2 ct, diamond about 7x5 mm, pendant about 15.6 by 7.3 mm. Because the gold drop adds length above the stone, even the 1/5 ct pendant measures more than 12 mm top to bottom.

Is this a natural diamond?

Yes. The pear is mined, and its SI2–SI3 clarity and G–I color are the manufacturer's quality grade rather than an individual lab report. At SI2–SI3, inclusions may be visible to the naked eye; G–I keeps the color in the near-colorless range.

Which carat weight should I choose?

The 1/5 ct, about 5x3 mm, is a fine teardrop for daily wear and the most approachable price for a mined pear. The 1/3 ct, about 6x4 mm, sits in the middle on both size and cost. Choose the 1/2 ct, about 7x5 mm, if she wears one necklace and wants it seen; it is also the size where SI2–SI3 inclusions are easiest to spot.

Can I return it?

Yes. Necklaces can be returned within 30 days of delivery, unworn and in original condition.
