Natural pink sapphire is usually heated to improve its color. The treatment is permanent and standard, and you should assume this stone has been heated.

Made to order in solid 14K White Gold. Sapphire rates 9 on the Mohs scale and is very durable. Clean it with warm soapy water and a soft brush, and store it apart from diamonds.
