Sharp corners, a flat square table and plenty of sparkle for a small stone: the princess cut is for people who like a little structure in their jewelry. Four prongs sit at the corners, the most exposed points of any square diamond, and leave every straight edge in view. Compact and close to the skin, it works under an open collar at the office and with bare shoulders on a summer night.

Chain included. It arrives ready to wear on a solid 14K gold 1 mm cable chain, 18 inches long, with a spring-ring clasp. The chain is the same gold as the pendant you choose.

Give it to a graduate heading into a first job, to a partner who dresses in clean lines, or for a promotion worth marking. A square diamond feels a little more personal than the expected round, and it is still easy to wear every day.

Every size is a lab-grown princess-cut diamond, VS in clarity, with F color or better. The honest worry with a princess is chipping, because its pointed corners take the knocks, which is exactly where the prongs sit. The stone itself is as hard as any mined diamond, and F-or-better color falls in the colorless range.

Approximate diamond size by weight: 3/8 ct about 4x4 mm; 1/2 ct about 4.5x4.5 mm; 3/4 ct about 5x5 mm.

Lab-grown origin is what lets a colorless VS grade sit at this price, with the gold chain already included. Select the metal, then 3/8, 1/2 or 3/4 ct. Unworn necklaces in original condition can be returned within 30 days.

Answers, before you ask

Your Questions

Is the chain included?

Yes. Every size comes complete on a solid 14K gold 1 mm cable chain, 18 inches long, with a spring-ring clasp, in the same gold as the pendant.

How big does each carat weight look?

Approximate pendant sizes: 3/8 ct, diamond about 4x4 mm, pendant about 6.2 by 5.5 mm; 1/2 ct, diamond about 4.5x4.5 mm, pendant about 6.7 by 5.9 mm; 3/4 ct, diamond about 5x5 mm, pendant about 7.6 by 6.6 mm. Even the largest size stays under 8 mm overall, so this is a compact square at every weight.

Is this a lab-grown diamond?

Yes. It is grown in a lab and graded VS clarity with F color or better, which sits in the colorless range. It rates 10 on the Mohs hardness scale, like any diamond; the corner prongs are there because a square stone's points are the part most exposed to knocks.

Which carat weight should I choose?

The 3/8 ct is a 4 mm square, small and crisp, and the one to layer. The 1/2 ct, about 4.5 mm, is the everyday middle. The 3/4 ct, a 5 mm square, gives the corners real presence and is the size to wear alone.

Can I return it?

Yes. Necklaces can be returned within 30 days of delivery, unworn and in original condition.
