Rainbow moonstone is the trade name for white labradorite, a feldspar related to moonstone, prized for its blue and multicolored flash. Its blue sheen floats across the dome as the stone moves, and at eight millimeters it actually reads. That is not true of the small cabochons. Rainbow moonstone is a softer stone, so earrings are the right place for it: no knocks, no daily abrasion. Friction backs are included.
