What is the stone?
A natural diamond, round, 1.4 mm across, 1/2 ct. Diamond rates 10 on the Mohs scale, the hardest gem there is. The diamond is G to H color, I1 clarity. Carat weights are nominal, so the actual weight can run slightly under the figure shown.
How is it set, and how big is the pendant?
The stone is held by 4 prongs, which let light reach it from the sides. The pendant measures about 23.1 x 9 mm, across its widest points.
Is a chain included?
No, this is the pendant only. Wear it on a fine chain of your own; check that the chain's end ring passes through the bail opening.
Can I wear the pendant on my own chain?
Yes, if your chain's end passes through the bail. The bail opening is 4.2 x 2.8 mm, so the end ring of your chain needs to be no more than 4 mm wide at its narrowest.
Which metals can I choose, and is white gold plated?
Choose 14K white, yellow or rose gold. All the gold is solid 14K, never gold-plated. White gold is finished with rhodium, which a jeweler can refresh over time.
Can I return it?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery, unworn and in its original packaging, with free insured return shipping. It is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
How do I care for the diamond?
Diamond is the hardest gem, though a hard knock can still chip an edge. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush restore the sparkle. Gold resists tarnish; a soft cloth brings back the shine.
