Aquamarine Necklace, Hexagon

Six flat sides of polished metal, and a 5 mm round aquamarine recessed into the middle on six fine prongs. There are no diamonds anywhere on this piece, which is unusual here and entirely the point.

Sinking the stone below the top plane means the hexagon protects it. The metal reads as a solid object, 10.7 by 9.3 mm, with the blue sitting in a well at the centre rather than perched on top of the metal.

It hangs on a solid cable chain, in the metal you choose, that adjusts between 16 and 18 inches, so you set the drop where you want it.

For someone who wears one piece at a time and wants it to look considered rather than decorated.
