Details
A full round of natural diamonds circles the ruby, and the effect is generous: the center looks larger, the red looks brighter against the white brilliance at its edge. The halo runs G to H at SI clarity, the same diamond grade we use throughout the house. The ruby is mined corundum, heat-treated by accepted practice and disclosed plainly, hand-selected to a vivid medium red. Yellow gold warms the halo, white gold makes it sparkle harder. We source each stone to spec, so the ring is always buildable, and a lab-grown ruby version delivers the halo for less. Roughly three to four weeks to make.

Rings are final sale. Every ring is made or sized to your ring size, and engagement rings are set with the center stone you choose, so a ring can’t be returned or exchanged for a refund or another size. Please confirm your size before you order; our concierge is glad to help. If a ring arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, tell us within 7 days and we’ll make it right, and every piece carries our free lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

What exactly is the center stone?
A natural ruby, 1 to 2 ct, in five shapes. The ruby is heat-treated to improve its color, a standard and permanent treatment. Carat weights are nominal, so the actual weight can run slightly under the figure shown.
What does the price include?
The price shown includes the setting, the natural ruby center and the accent diamonds, set and finished for you.
Tell me about the accent diamonds.
The setting carries 22 to 30 natural accent diamonds, depending on the shape and center size. They are G to H color, SI clarity.
Which metals can I choose, and is white gold plated?
Choose 14K white, yellow or rose gold; or 18K white, yellow or rose gold. All the gold is solid 14K and 18K, never gold-plated. White gold is finished with rhodium, which a jeweler can refresh over time.
How wide is the band, and how high does the stone sit?
It sits on a band about 2.1 mm wide at the base, and the setting rises about 6 to 6.4 mm from the finger, depending on the center size and shape.
Which sizes are offered, and can it be resized later?
US sizes 4 to 9, in quarter sizes. Our concierge can arrange resizing through our jeweler partner and will quote the cost before any work begins.
Can I return or exchange it?
Rings are final sale, as each is made or sized to your size; please confirm it first, and our concierge can help. If it arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we'll repair, replace or refund it.
How do I care for ruby?
Hard enough for every day. Clean it with warm soapy water and a soft brush, and store it on its own.
