Nothing distracts from the stone here. A single pink sapphire sits up on slim prongs, light reaching it from every side, the band kept slim on purpose. Look from the side and a row of tiny natural diamonds shows beneath the head. Sapphire scores a 9 on the Mohs scale, so this rose-pink center takes daily wear far better than softer colored stones. Most pink sapphire is heat-treated to settle its color; this one is no different, and the result holds for good. September's birthstone, and a quiet alternative to a diamond. What exactly is the center stone?
A natural pink sapphire sits at the center, 1 to 2 ct, in your choice of four shapes. Carat weights are nominal, so the actual weight can run slightly under the figure shown.
What does the price include?
The price shown includes the setting, the natural pink sapphire center and the accent diamonds, set and finished for you.
Tell me about the accent diamonds.
The setting carries 18 to 32 natural accent diamonds, depending on the shape and center size. They are G to H color, SI clarity.
Which metals can I choose, and is white gold plated?
Choose 14K white, yellow or rose gold; or 18K white, yellow or rose gold. All the gold is solid 14K and 18K, never gold-plated. White gold is finished with rhodium, which a jeweler can refresh over time.
How wide is the band, and how high does the stone sit?
The band measures about 2 mm at the base, and the setting rises about 4.9 to 6.8 mm from the finger, depending on the center size and shape.
Which sizes are offered, and can it be resized later?
US sizes 4 to 9, in quarter sizes. Our concierge can arrange resizing through our jeweler partner and will quote the cost before any work begins.
Can I return or exchange it?
Rings are final sale, as each is made or sized to your size; please confirm it first, and our concierge can help. If it arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we'll repair, replace or refund it.
How do I care for pink sapphire?
Hard enough for every day. Clean it with warm soapy water and a soft brush, and store it on its own.
