An emerald cut does not sparkle; it reflects. Long parallel steps send light back in broad flashes, which is why this 5 by 3 mm stone reads deeper and cooler than most of the rounds and ovals in this collection. Step cuts show colour darker than brilliants do.

The diamond halo around it is squared off with softened corners, so the outline stays rectangular where the stone is rectangular. One eighth of a carat of natural diamonds, four prongs at the corners, and a 9.55 mm pendant strung in line on the chain.

Choose 16 inch or 18 inch. Each length is its own finished necklace on a solid cable chain in the metal you choose, so you are buying the length you pick.
