A six-sided plate with a diamond held at its center by six prongs, one at each vertex, so the prongs are structural to the geometry rather than applied on top of it.
The hexagon is the piece. A 2.5 mm round on its own would read as a dot; framed inside a hard-edged hex it reads as hardware, the closest thing in this collection to a machined object you would want to wear.
Solid 14K yellow, white or rose gold, or platinum, never gold-plated, never gold-filled. White gold is finished with rhodium for its bright white color; a jeweler can refresh it over time. Natural diamonds. Made to order in the United States and shipped insured.

What are the stones?
Each earring holds a natural round diamond, 2.5 mm across: 2 in the pair, 1/8 ct in total. The diamonds are G to H color. Carat weights are nominal, so the actual weight can run slightly under the figure shown.
Are they sold as a pair or singly?
They are sold as a matched pair, so both earrings come together in one order. The price shown is for the pair.
How are the stones set?
Each stone is held by 6 prongs. Prongs let light into the stone from the sides; check them now and then so the stones stay secure.
What backs do they use?
They close with friction (push) backs. The post is about 0.37 inch long. Check the backs now and then, as you would with any earring.
How big are they on the ear?
About 4.7 x 4.7 mm per earring. Measured across the widest points, including the setting, so you can compare it with a pair you own.
Which metals can I choose, and is white gold plated?
Choose 14K yellow, white or rose gold; or platinum. All the gold is solid 14K, never gold-plated. White gold is finished with rhodium, which a jeweler can refresh over time. Platinum is naturally white and polishes back to a high shine.
Can I return the pair?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery, unworn and in their original packaging, with free insured return shipping. They are also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
How do I care for the diamonds?
Diamond is the hardest gem, though a hard knock can still chip an edge. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush restore the sparkle.
