Marquise Aquamarine Cross Necklace

Five marquise aquamarines build this cross, and the stones do the drawing rather than the metal. Four form the arms, a fifth extends the lower arm, and each 4 by 2 mm navette sits in a slim bezel outline with a bead at each tip.

The result is a 14.72 by 10.66 mm cross carried by colour, with the metal reduced to the outlines, the tip beads and the crossing.

It hangs on a solid cable chain, in the metal you choose, that adjusts between 16 and 18 inches, so you set the drop where you want it.

A confirmation, a christening for an older child, or a March birthday for someone who wears a cross daily and wants one in colour rather than plain metal.

The aquamarine is natural. Aquamarine is routinely heated to settle its colour, a permanent and industry-standard treatment, and these stones should be assumed heated.
