Marquise White Sapphire Hoop Earrings, Floral J-Hoop

Two marquise-cut white sapphires open like a pair of leaves above a floral J-hoop. Two stones per earring, four across the pair, in two different marquise sizes; the published stone size is 6 x 3 mm. No diamond appears anywhere in this design. The sapphire is the whole piece. The J-hoop curve sits close and sweeps forward, so the petals face out instead of hiding against the lobe. About 15.5 mm long by 6.8 mm wide, on a friction post and back. For someone who wears one good pair every day and wants them to look designed rather than generic. White sapphire is natural colorless corundum. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is the hardest natural gem after diamond. This stone may have been heat treated to improve color and clarity, a standard and permanent practice. Clean it with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush. Each stone is natural, so slight variation from the photograph is normal.
