A 3.5 mm round natural blue sapphire sits at the center of a starburst of ten marquise-cut natural diamonds, half a carat of diamond in all. The pointed marquise stones fan out like rays, so the blue reads deep and the outline reads bright. A statement pendant, about 17 by 14 mm, for an anniversary or a milestone.
It is made as one finished necklace, so the chain is the maker's own and fits the bail exactly: a 1 mm cable chain adjustable from 16 to 18 inches, with a spring-ring clasp, in the same metal as the pendant. Made in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum, never gold-plated; the white gold carries a bright rhodium finish.
The sapphire is natural and may be heat-treated in the standard trade manner to deepen its color; we make no unheated claim. The diamonds are natural, G to I color and I1 clarity.

What are the stones?
A natural blue sapphire, 3.5 mm across. The diamonds are GHI color, I1 clarity. Sizes are nominal; natural stones can vary slightly from the stated size.

It carries 10 natural diamonds, 1/2 ct in total. Carat weights are nominal, so the actual weight can run slightly under the figure shown.
Has the blue sapphire been treated?
The blue sapphire may be heat-treated to improve its color, a standard and permanent treatment.
Is a chain included?
Yes. It is a finished necklace on a 1 mm cable chain with a spring ring clasp. The chain comes attached, so it arrives ready to wear.
How long is it?
It adjusts from 16 to 18 inches, so one chain covers several looks. At 16 inches it sits at the base of the neck; at 18 inches it rests at the collarbone.
Which metals can I choose, and is white gold plated?
Choose 14K white, yellow or rose gold; or platinum. All the gold is solid 14K, never gold-plated. White gold is finished with rhodium, which a jeweler can refresh over time.
