Oval Aquamarine Necklace, Diamond Deco Halo

Baguettes are what separate this from an ordinary halo. A 7 by 5 mm oval aquamarine sits in four prongs, ringed by baguette-cut natural diamonds across the top and bottom with a column of round brilliants down each side, so the surround has flat facets and fan-shaped rays rather than a plain bead border.

One third of a carat of diamonds goes into that ring, and the baguettes are why the 16.1 mm pendant throws broad flashes instead of fine sparkle. The two cuts do different jobs and the contrast is visible at arm's length.

It hangs on a solid cable chain, in the metal you choose, that adjusts between 16 and 18 inches, so you set the drop where you want it.

The aquamarine is natural. Aquamarine is routinely heated to settle its colour, a permanent and industry-standard treatment, and these stones should be assumed heated.
