From above it reads as a simple solitaire; from the side a row of diamonds wraps the base of the green sapphire. That hidden halo of small lab-grown diamonds sits just under the oval center, and the pavé continues down a slim band about 2.1 mm wide. Eight claw prongs, two at each point, hold the stone, which sits about 7.1 mm high at the 8 x 6 mm size (about 1.66 ct).
Choose an oval center from 7 x 5 mm to 10 x 8 mm, about 1.16 to 3.49 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown green sapphire, eye-clean, in a cool sea-green tone. Lab-grown sapphire is real corundum, the same mineral as mined sapphire, and rates 9 on the Mohs scale, so it wears beautifully every day. Carat weights are the typical weight for each calibrated size, so an individual stone can vary slightly.
Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. What exactly is the center stone?
A lab-grown green sapphire sits at the center, 7 to 10 ct, oval. It is the same mineral as a mined green sapphire, grown in a lab.
What does the price include?
The price shown includes the setting, the lab-grown green sapphire center and the accent diamonds, set and finished for you.
Tell me about the accent diamonds.
The setting carries 42 to 46 lab-grown accent diamonds, depending on the center size. They come set, and their cost is included in the price shown.
Which metals can I choose, and is white gold plated?
Choose 14K white, yellow or rose gold; or platinum. All the gold is solid 14K, never gold-plated. White gold is finished with rhodium, which a jeweler can refresh over time.
How wide is the band, and how high does the stone sit?
The band measures about 1.9 to 2.2 mm at the base, depending on the center size, and the setting rises about 6.7 to 8.3 mm from the finger, depending on the center size and shape.
Which sizes are offered, and can it be resized later?
US sizes 3 to 10, in quarter sizes. Our concierge can arrange resizing through our jeweler partner and will quote the cost before any work begins.
