White Sapphire Stud Earrings, Crown Set, .03 ct tw Diamond

Six prongs hold a 4 mm white sapphire above a crown gallery set with six small natural diamonds. The diamonds are .8 mm each and sit in the gallery under the stone, so they show from the side rather than the front. That is the point of a crown: it gives the earring something to look at from an angle, where a plain stud shows only metal. Each earring is 5.6 x 5.02 mm. Friction post and back. The accent diamonds are natural, non-serialized stones of G-H color. Our supplier publishes no clarity grade for them. Total carat weight is nominal and may vary slightly. White sapphire is natural colorless corundum. At 9 on the Mohs scale it is the hardest natural gem after diamond. This stone may have been heat treated to improve color and clarity, a standard and permanent practice. Clean it with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush. Each stone is natural, so slight variation from the photograph is normal.
