Each earring is 5.5 x 5.5 mm, so the bezel adds very little beyond the stone itself. Diamond-cut faceting on the sapphire keeps a small stone bright. Friction post and back. The lowest opening price in this lane, and a first pair of real fine-jewelry studs. The stone is natural corundum without color, graded AA by our supplier. Corundum sits at 9 on the Mohs scale, just under diamond. This stone may have been heat treated to improve color and clarity. Warm water, a mild soap and a soft brush are all it needs. Because these are natural stones, small differences from the photograph are expected.
