White Sapphire Hoop Earrings, 14 mm Hinged

Seven diamond-cut white sapphires run along the front-facing arc of each hoop, fourteen across the pair. Each stone is 1.5 mm, bright rather than large, and the diamond-cut faceting is what makes the line catch light as the hoop turns. The hoop measures 14 x 10.25 mm and closes on a hinge, so it stays shut without a separate back. No diamond in this one; every stone is sapphire. Hinged and close-sitting, it is built to be worn every day. Corundum with no color is white sapphire, supplier-graded AA. Only diamond is harder among natural gems. This stone may have been heat treated to lift color and clarity, which is usual here and does not fade. Warm water and a mild soap will keep it bright; use a soft brush behind the stone. Natural material is never uniform, so your pair may differ slightly from what is shown.
