Oval White Sapphire Hoop Earrings, 18.2 mm

Six oval white sapphires, each 5 x 3 mm, are set end to end around an 18.2 mm hoop. Twelve stones across the pair, all sapphire, no diamond anywhere in the piece. The hoop is 18.2 x 15.6 mm and 3.5 mm thick, which is the scale that makes a set of oval stones read from across a room. The band is stone all the way along, not metal with stones on one face. Short prong bars sit between the ovals and grip each one by its girdle, so every table faces outward. Friction post and back. Corundum with no color is white sapphire, supplier-graded AA. Only diamond is harder among natural gems. This stone may have been heat treated to lift color and clarity, which is usual here and does not fade. Warm water and a mild soap will keep it bright; use a soft brush behind the stone. Natural material is never uniform, so your pair may differ slightly from what is shown.
