White Sapphire Stud Earrings, 1/6 ct tw Diamond Halo

Sixteen natural diamonds per earring form a halo around a 5 mm white sapphire, carried on open radiating spokes rather than a solid ring of metal. At 10.63 x 10.63 mm the halo covers a good width of lobe while the gaps between the spokes keep it from reading heavy. The sapphire is held on four prongs at the hub; the diamonds are 1 mm each, thirty-two across the pair. Friction post and back. The diamonds are natural and non-serialized, color G-H. Clarity is not graded for stones at this size by our supplier. Treat the carat weight as nominal; it can vary slightly. White sapphire and ruby are the same mineral, corundum, and this one has no color. It sits at 9 on the Mohs scale. The stone may have been heat treated to improve color and clarity, which is normal for the material and permanent. Clean with mild soap in warm water, brushing gently where the metal meets the stone. Expect a little variation from the photograph; every natural stone is its own.
