Details
Shank diamonds step down in size toward the back. Instead of a uniform row, the lab-grown diamonds on this band are visibly graduated: largest near the princess center, then smaller as they travel along the shoulders. That taper draws the eye straight to the square. Each round sits in small bead prongs, and claws hold the center at its four corners. Choose it if a fine pavé line feels too delicate and you want sparkle you can see from across a table.
Choose a princess center from 0.75 to 2.00 carats. Each center is a lab-grown diamond selected to a D to F color, VS2-or-better specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.00 ct size, for example, runs 0.95 to 1.10 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. If you would rather pick an individually graded loose diamond, natural or lab-grown, build it in Design Your Ring.
Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Your ring is made to order in your size (US 3 to 10; see the sizing guide) and typically ships in about 5 to 10 business days by complimentary, insured UPS Express. More princess settings are in our Princess Cut Engagement Rings collection.

Answers, before you ask
Your Questions
How is this different from a fine pavé band?
Fine pavé uses many tiny stones of similar size for a continuous glitter. Here the stones are larger and graduated, so each one reads individually and the line visibly narrows away from the center. It gives a bolder look on the shoulders and makes the ring feel more substantial without adding a halo.
Do the bigger shank stones need special care?
Treat them like any prong-set diamonds: avoid hard knocks and have the setting checked now and then. The largest stones sit at the top of the band near the head, and they shrink as they move away from it before plain metal takes over underneath, where the band meets neighboring fingers.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every princess center is a lab-grown diamond selected to a D to F color, VS2-or-better specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. If you want a specific graded stone, Design Your Ring lets you choose one individually.
Can I have a natural diamond instead?
This ring is offered with lab-grown centers. For a natural diamond, use Design Your Ring to choose a natural loose diamond with its own grading report and set it in one of our settings, or email concierge@diamondandsapphire.com and we will help.
How long does it take to make?
Each ring is made to order in your finger size. Most ship in about 5 to 10 business days, insured and signature-required. The product page shows the current timing before you check out.
