Details
Arched shoulders lift the pear above a pavé band. Under the head, the band rises in two cathedral arches that lift the pear and give the setting a tall, graceful profile. Rounded claws hold the stone, with one sitting over the point. Small lab-grown diamonds run down the band from the shoulders in a fine line that keeps the focus on the center. A classic shape with a measure of sparkle, suited to someone who wants the pear raised and prominent.
Choose a pear center from 0.65 to 2.75 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.00 to 1.20 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. If you would rather pick an individually graded loose diamond, natural or lab-grown, build it in Design Your Ring.
Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Your ring is made to order in your size (US 3 to 10; see the sizing guide) and typically ships in about 5 to 10 business days by complimentary, insured UPS Express. More pear settings are in our Pear Engagement Rings collection.

Answers, before you ask
Your Questions
Will a wedding band sit close to the cathedral arches?
A straight band can sit against the shank, with the cathedral arches rising above it to hold the head. Because the arches flare slightly, a small gap may appear at the center, depending on the band's width and height. A slim plain or pavé band generally pairs neatly, and comparing profiles side by side is the best way to be sure.
Does the raised setting catch on things?
A cathedral setting holds the stone higher than a low bezel, which shows off more of the pear and lets light in from the sides. The trade-off is that a taller head meets more of the world: knits, gloves and pockets. The claws here are rounded, which helps, and removing the ring for workouts or cleaning keeps it in good shape.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every pear center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. If you want a specific graded stone, Design Your Ring lets you choose one individually.
Can I have a natural diamond instead?
This ring is offered with lab-grown centers. For a natural diamond, use Design Your Ring to choose a natural loose diamond with its own grading report and set it in one of our settings, or email concierge@diamondandsapphire.com and we will help.
How long does it take to make?
Each ring is made to order in your finger size. Most ship in about 5 to 10 business days, insured and signature-required. The product page shows the current timing before you check out.
