A plain band up top, a ring of diamonds underneath. Seen from above, this reads as a clean solitaire: rounded claws, a slim polished band that narrows toward the stone, and nothing competing with the pear. Turn your hand and a hidden halo of small lab-grown diamonds appears beneath the head, circling the base of the setting. A single claw sits over the point. It suits someone who wants a quiet ring in public and a private flash of sparkle in profile.
Choose a pear center from 0.65 to 2.75 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.00 to 1.20 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Who actually sees the hidden halo?
Mostly you, and anyone looking at your hand from the side. From directly above, the ring reads as a plain solitaire with a polished band. The small lab-grown diamonds sit under the head, so they catch light when your hand moves or when the ring is viewed in profile. That side view is where this design earns its name.
How is the point of the pear held?
A single rounded claw sits over the tip, so the point is covered by metal rather than left bare. The tip is still the thinnest edge of any pear, so it is worth taking the ring off for weight training, gardening or moving furniture. Having the claws looked over by a jeweler once a year keeps everything secure.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every pear center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. Can I have a natural diamond instead?
