The halo follows the pear right out to its point. A single row of lab-grown diamonds traces the full outline of the center, drawing out to a point where the pear does, so the shape stays crisp rather than rounding off. Claws hold the center inside the halo, including one at the tip. More small diamonds run down the shank on each side, and the band rises toward the head in a cathedral line. The halo adds width and light, so the pear reads larger on the hand.
Choose a pear center from 0.65 to 2.75 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.00 to 1.20 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Does a halo make the center look bigger?
It widens the area of sparkle around the stone, so the head reads larger on the finger than the center alone would. Because this halo keeps the pear's point instead of softening it, the overall shape still reads clearly as a pear from across a room. A smaller center with a halo can give a similar spread to a larger solitaire.
How does the halo help protect the tip?
The halo's metal frame surrounds the center, point included, and a claw holds the tip itself. That ring of metal and small diamonds takes a knock before the center does, which gives the pear's thinnest edge an extra layer of cover compared with an open solitaire. The halo stones themselves are small, so a yearly claw check is still wise.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every pear center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. If you want a specific graded stone, Design Your Ring lets you choose one individually.
Can I have a natural diamond instead?
