Details
Step-cut sides square off a softly curved pear center. A pointed prong wraps the pear's tip, and claws hold the rest of the center. On each side, an emerald-cut lab-grown diamond sits in its own four claws, its flat step-cut facets a deliberate contrast to the pear's brilliance. Small round diamonds sit beneath the side stones, and a row of round pavé runs partway down each shoulder of a straight band. The mix of shapes has an Art Deco feel. It suits someone who likes a three-stone ring with contrast built in.
Choose a pear center from 0.65 to 2.75 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.00 to 1.20 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. If you would rather pick an individually graded loose diamond, natural or lab-grown, build it in Design Your Ring.
Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Your ring is made to order in your size (US 3 to 10; see the sizing guide) and typically ships in about 5 to 10 business days by complimentary, insured UPS Express. More pear settings are in our Pear Engagement Rings collection.

Your Questions
What holds the point of the pear?
A pointed prong shaped to the tip folds over the pear's narrowest edge, the part most likely to chip, while round claws hold the rest of the stone. It gives the point a crisp metal outline that matches the angular side stones. Having all the prongs checked once a year keeps the setting secure.
Why emerald-cut sides with a pear center?
Contrast. The pear is curved with brilliant faceting, while emerald cuts have long, flat step facets and straight edges. Placed side by side, each makes the other more distinct, so the center's sparkle stands out against the calmer flash of the sides. The angles also give the ring structure, which keeps a pear three-stone from reading as overly soft.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every pear center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. If you want a specific graded stone, Design Your Ring lets you choose one individually.
Can I have a natural diamond instead?
This ring is offered with lab-grown centers. For a natural diamond, use Design Your Ring to choose a natural loose diamond with its own grading report and set it in one of our settings, or email concierge@diamondandsapphire.com and we will help.
How long does it take to make?
Each ring is made to order in your finger size. Most ship in about 5 to 10 business days, insured and signature-required. The product page shows the current timing before you check out.
