Details
Near the head, the band opens into two pavé rows. Partway up the finger, the band divides into two slim arms lined with small lab-grown diamonds, leaving an open space beneath the pear. The split widens the setting where it meets the center, giving a larger pear a broad, steady base. Pointed claws hold the stone, one of them at the tip, and a few more small diamonds sit tucked beneath the head. It suits someone who wants pavé with more structure than a single thin line.
Choose a pear center from 0.65 to 2.75 carats. Each center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Carat weights are nominal and each size has a published range; the 1.10 ct size, for example, runs 1.00 to 1.20 ct. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds, chemically and physically the same as mined ones. If you would rather pick an individually graded loose diamond, natural or lab-grown, build it in Design Your Ring.
Available in 14K white, yellow or rose gold, or platinum. The accent diamonds are lab-grown, near-colorless stones matched to the setting. Your ring is made to order in your size (US 3 to 10; see the sizing guide) and typically ships in about 5 to 10 business days by complimentary, insured UPS Express. More pear settings are in our Pear Engagement Rings collection.

Your Questions
Does the split shank make the ring feel wider?
At the top, yes. The two arms spread apart near the head, so the ring covers more of the finger there than a single band would, then join into one band further down. On the palm side it wears like a standard band. If you prefer a narrow look across the finger, a single-shank pavé solitaire is the alternative.
What do the pointed claws do?
Each claw tapers to a point as it reaches over the stone, which covers less of the diamond than a rounded claw and echoes the pear's own point. One claw sits at the tip of the pear to hold that edge in place. Tapered claws look refined, but they are worth checking once a year, as any claw can wear thin with time.
What quality is the center diamond?
Every pear center is a calibrated lab-grown diamond made to an F-G color, VS clarity specification. Sizes are sold by nominal carat weight with a published tolerance range, so a stone may weigh slightly over or under the headline figure within that range. If you want a specific graded stone, Design Your Ring lets you choose one individually.
Can I have a natural diamond instead?
This ring is offered with lab-grown centers. For a natural diamond, use Design Your Ring to choose a natural loose diamond with its own grading report and set it in one of our settings, or email concierge@diamondandsapphire.com and we will help.
How long does it take to make?
Each ring is made to order in your finger size. Most ship in about 5 to 10 business days, insured and signature-required. The product page shows the current timing before you check out.
